The Diabetic Tribute Calendar and website was created by the Gee Team shortly after a member of their family was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. It has taken over 200 hours to create the calendar with the intention to raise awareness and raise much needed funds to help find a cure for type 1 diabetes.
65% of profits are being donated to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF). JDRF is the world's largest charitable supporter of type 1 diabetes research, investing more than $150 million per year into the search to find a cure for type 1 diabetes.
JDRF was founded in 1970 in the US and 1982 in Australia by a group of determined volunteers.
